Over schedule-ness abounds

Indeed it does, verily! I’m busybusybusy all the time lately (as of late). *sigh* I even had to cut the comic updation down to two days a week. Sorry my pretties, but with no buffer and a new inking style that takes twice as long as my old one, AND me having become super busy and more than a bit stressed, I couldn’t handle three days a week. I feel really, really, really guilty about it, though.

I’ve been trying to write again, however. If I become to busy to write and draw, I know I must be doing something wrong. I must keep my priorities striaght, and not much is more important than my creative ventures. If I don’t do them constantly, I won’t improve, and if I don’t improve, I’ll never be published, and if I’m not published, I’ll die in abject poverty in some forgotten corner of the world without leaving my vision for the generations to follow. Providing of course, that the world doesn’t end before then.

I’ve been considering majoring in english when I go to college, which is a few years, so doesn’t really matter (at the moment, at any rate). I’d like to be an editor someday, I think. Or rather, I’d like to be an author, but that doesn’t pay so I’d like to be an editor who has time to write. ^^

For your previewing enjoyment, a bit of page 96:

I’m Baaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Harken! For I hath returned from Maine!

Camp was alot of fun. I almost dyed my hair blue, did a ton of henna tattoos, and stayed up all night watching movies. I also saw a meteor shower, made a tape mural, met amazing people, talked about serious stuff, talked about silly stuff, and ate ice cream. A lot of ice cream.

I also was introduced to the music of Regina Spektor, Two amazing books ( Gospel of the Flying Spagetti Monster and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy ), and teen alcohol use. No, I didn’t drink. I just saw some one being drunk and stupid and underage all at once. ick. anyways……..

I didn’t get much sketching done, but oh well. I’ll catch up, I hope. Speaking of which I might have to change the update schedule when school starts. I might go to just weekends, or something like, until I get used to the whole school thing. *sigh*

Speaking of school, I’m going school shopping today. Mostly for fall clothing, and notebooks, and such.

I went to the Eastern Mass Rhythm Fest yesterday. Some pics, and one of (part of) my henna:

Dance!
No, I don’t belly dance. I’d like to learn though.

Drum!
Me and my father, at teh festival. Those are staff shirts we’re wearing, btw. ^^

Henna Tattoo
merely a small section of my henna crazy tattoos. ^^

That’s all! see yas!

Off to camp is me!

So, as we leave tomorrow morning, this is a temporary fare-the-well. I’ll be in maine for seven days, then in western mass for the drumming festival my father helps to organize. A busy week indeed. But I’ll bring my sketchbook (of course) and I’ll be drawing away the whole time. hopefully I’ll produce a decent amount of new pages for y’all… although I’ll have to wait to do inking till I get home, as I can’t bring all my inking stuffs to camp with me.

It’s a photography camp, which I’m rather excited about. *click* ^^

For your dose of preview:
Yas and Gem
This page will be up next sunday, I think.

I just did the page after that one today. It’s the first page I’ve done with real actual ink and brush (I did another one with black watercolor acting as ink, which isn’t the same.). It looks great! I’m so excited about it, but you guyses don’t get to see it until next tuesday! *sticks out tongue* ^^

love and hisses (what, you expected kisses? from me? hahahaha…*hiss*),

blog blog blogity blog…

I’m blogging for the simple reason that I have nothing better to do. Actually, I have plenty of better things to do, including going outside and getting some nice healthy UV rays to roast my poor, poor, pale skin. But I disgress.

I went to the beach yesterday, in between the thunderstorms and the perpetual drizzel. We actually found a short half hour of glorious sunlight, and used it to our full advantage. Unfortunately, I had to leave the water early after a rather freak accident gave me a nose bleed. What happened was I was going to dive under a wave, but as I went under I held my nose. The turbulence yanked my hand free, then made me stab myself on the nose with my thumbnail. And ooooh, a cut in salt water stings like heck!

I’ve been comicking like a crazy person to get enough done for when I go away next week. I won’t have enough and still have a buffer though. *sigh* I’m still behind since the last time I went to camp… >> If I still don’t have a buffer when I go to school, the comic might have to have a short hiatus… which is baaaaaad… *sigh*

Dom Young <lil’ preview of that filler…

But anyways, the summer is going well. Can’t wait for camp this coming week!

so…

So, I seem to have this thing mostly figured out. The add a page thing is nifty, I must say. The only thing I had trouble with was uploading a new custom header image. *sigh* But I’ll do that later, I guess. So, as this is a blog, I ought to blog, I suppose.

The weather has been hot, as it is august, this is hardly surprising. However, tis rather annoying. It has it’s upsides though. For example, going to the beach daily. That is certainly an upside.

In other news, the comic work is going well, despite the fact I’ve been crazy busy. I’ve scripted to page 104 (the last page of chapter 5) and drawn and scanned to page 90. I’m sketching page 91 now. Carriages are hard
